Terri R. Dunn, MD, FAAD

Founder, Board-Certified Dermatologist

Dr. Dunn is a native of California. A Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dr. Dunn has been a leading practitioner in dermatology for over 25 years. Dr. Dunn obtained her dermatology training from the renowned Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland; a trusted research institution and leader in the field of dermatology. Dr. Dunn received her medical degree from the University of California at Los Angeles and completed her internship in internal medicine at the esteemed Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Dunn’s commitment to promoting research and high standards of treatment for the underserved took her to Nairobi, Kenya, early in her career, where she received specialty training in the field of dermatology.

Dr. Dunn has published textbook and journal articles in the field of dermatology including Cutaneous Manifestations of Internal Malignancy in Steins Internal Medicine and Sweet’s Syndrome in a Neonate with Aseptic Meningitis in the Journal of Pediatric Dermatology. Dr. Dunn has been interviewed for numerous publications and delivers talks to professional medical conferences and organizations. She is actively engaged in community education via numerous engagements and is a dedicated wife and mother of two sons and a daughter.

Dr. Dunn is a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, a member of the Women’s Dermatological Association, the California Dermatology Association, the Alameda-Contra Costa Medical Association, the National Medical Association, and the Sinkler-Miller Medical Association. She has served on several boards, including the YWCA, Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated, The Links, Incorporated, and the Sinkler-Miller Medical Association.

Offering dermatology services to adults and children of all skin types, Dr. Dunn specializes in skin cancer, rashes, skin discoloration, vitiligo, hair loss, acne and nail disorders. She also specializes in cosmetic dermatology, including Botox treatments, facial wrinkle fillers, laser treatments, chemical peels, facial redness, brown spot removal, and individualized skin care systems.

Becky S. Li, MD, FAAD

We are proud to welcome Dr. Becky Li back to AllSkin Dermatology! Dr. Li began her affiliation with AllSkin Dermatology while a student at UC Berkeley starting in 2009. She worked, initially, as an administrative assistant then transitioned to medical assisting as her interest in dermatology grew. We like to say we planted the seed for her future in dermatology!  After graduation from Cal, Dr. Li left us to pursue medical school and she has now returned to AllSkin as a board-certified dermatologist!

Dr. Li is a native of the Bay Area.  Dr. Li earned her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine where she was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Highland Hospital then returned to Howard University Hospital for her residency in dermatology where she served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Li’s extensive research background has enabled her to publish numerous studies in leading dermatology text books and numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, including the British Journal of Dermatology.  Her scientific research has been recognized at several national conferences, including the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Symposium.

Dr. Li specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide array of skin conditions, in both adult and pediatric patients, including skin cancer, psoriasis, eczema, acne, rosacea, pigmentary disorders, hair loss and dermatoses specific to skin of color.

Dr. Li also specializes in cosmetic dermatology, utilizing neurotoxins (BOTOX®), dermal facial fillers, laser therapy, Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), chemical peels, microneedling, and cosmeceuticals. Dr. Li is a specialist in curating skin care regimens for healthy and radiant skin. Dr. Li’s philosophy is all of her patients should “love the skin they are in” and she is passionate about helping her patients achieve this goal.

Dr. Li is a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, a member of the Women’s Dermatological Association, the National Medical Association, and the Skin of Color Society.

Miriam Ferreira, PA-C, MMS

Board-Certified Physician Assistant

Mrs. Ferreira is a native of Berlin, Germany. Mrs. Ferreira graduated from the Stanford University School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program with high honors. She received her medical degree from Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany, and has a Master’s of Medical Science Degree from St. Francis University in Pennsylvania. Before joining her husband in California, Mrs. Ferreira worked as a physician in Dermatology and Allergy in Berlin and Northern Saxony.

Mrs. Ferreira brings with her over 25 years of experience in the field of general and cosmetic dermatology. She performs comprehensive skin examinations and treats general dermatologic conditions including skin rashes, eczema, psoriasis, acne, rosacea, skin cancers and warts. Mrs. Ferreira performs minor surgical procedures including biopsies, electrodessication and curettage, extractions, skin tag removal, mole removal, and small excisions. Mrs. Ferreira specializes in the treatment of psoriasis with Biologic Therapy and the XTRAC laser.

Mrs. Ferreira’s cosmetic practice involves anti-aging programs, IPL, nonablative fractional resurfacing laser treatments, dermal facial fillers, chemical peels, sclerotherapy, platelet rich plasma (PRP) treatments, and individualized skin care systems.

Mrs. Ferreira is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the California Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

Marilyn Jensen-Akula, RN, BSN

Cosmetic Nurse

A registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science in nursing, Mrs. Jensen-Akula graduated with honors from SUNY at Stony Brook, a widely acclaimed University and Medical Center in New York. With more than 30 years of experience, Mrs. Jensen-Akula is passionate about aesthetic skin care. She specializes in aesthetic nursing including laser therapy, collagen induction therapy (dermal needling), platelet rich plasma (PRP) treatments, neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau), dermal fillers, Kybella, medical grade chemical peels and individualized skin care systems. Mrs. Jensen-Akula is certified by the National Laser institute and has been recognized as one of the leading laser therapy nurses in the bay area. Mrs. Jensen-Akula delivers comprehensive cosmetic skin care enabling her clients to achieve their aesthetic goals with excellence and in safe hands.

Annie Song, DNP, CNS, RN, MSN

Dermatology Nurse Practitioner

Annie Song, a native of Southern California, loves skin! Ms. Song, a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner, moved to the bay area in 1997. Ms. Song graduated with a BA from UC Berkeley and received her Masters of Science in Nursing from UC San Francisco. In addition to dermatology, Ms. Song has a wide range of interests and training. She has certification and special interests in Geriatrics and Oncology. At UCSF, Ms. Song tripled minored in human genomics, education, and mental health. Ms. Song holds a Master’s Certificate in dermatology through the National Academy of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners. Being passionate about patient health care, Ms. Song has worked in a wide variety of clinical settings including quaternary-care academic hospitals and non-profit community health clinics in the East Bay. Internationally, Ms. Song has led medical teams to provide healthcare to remote villages and orphanages in Uzbekistan and Cambodia. Ms. Song loves collaborating with patients and believes her role is to serve as a facilitator and team leader in guiding patients on medical decision making. Ms. Song believes skin health is directly related to whole body wellness. She utilizes the latest evidence-based research to help patients achieve healthy and radiant skin. Ms. Song works with patients of all ages and cultures. When her three daughters allow her free time, Ms. Song mentors youth and college students and loves to garden.
